Who is the CRC?

The CRC is an independent nonprofit organization run by and for graduate workers at the University of Colorado. Membership is open to all CU graduate students. Members have the power of direct democracy as well as the power to elect a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is tasked with carrying out the mandates of membership (including the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws) and executing other legal responsibilities of running a nonprofit corporation, which gives us legal standing to sign a collective bargaining agreement with our employer. The Board of Directors has the power to appoint officers, hire staff, and retain professional assistants such as legal counsel — however the CRC currently has no paid staff and is entirely run by volunteers.
